I started running in 2017 with the intention of taking on 5km road races and having a stab at cross country racing. Very quickly, 5km became 10km, and 10km evolved into a half marathon. I had the running bug. I joined my first running club in 2018 and have enjoyed being an active member of a club ever since.
After taking a short break from running due to injury, I returned at the end of 2021 and there's been no stopping me! In 2022 I took on my first ultra-marathon; a flat 38 miles along a disused railway. Once more that wasn't enough, so the following year I took on, and successfully completed, two 50 mile races (a mere 7 weeks apart).
Running a variety of distances has taught me a a lot about myself and my running. Combined with academic knowledge, I aim to drawn from this experience to help others to get more out of their own running.
